The NBA All-Star 2020 series will kick off tomorrow

The All-Star series of the US professional basketball tournament will take place in three days, from February 15-17 in Chicago.

As every year, NBA All-Star consists of three main events. Opening the three-day All-Star series is the NBA Rising Stars match between young talents taking place on February 15. Next is the skills competition, three-point throwing and basketball taking place at 8am on 16/2. The most interesting event, the 69th NBA All-Star match took place at 8pm on February 17.

This year’s NBA All-Star game will be changing the format of the game, in memory of Kobe Bryant – the legend died with his daughter Gianna due to a plane crash last month.

In the first three rounds, the two teams will compete and calculate the result in each round, each round of the score will return to 0. The winner of each round will receive $ 100,000 in charitable money, the team that wins the whole match will add 200,000 USD. In the fourth round, the results of the previous three rounds will be combined.

Instead of playing the last 12 minutes of the regular match, the team that reaches the target score first wins. The target score is the total score of the team with the higher score in the first three innings, plus 24 points. 24 is the number of shirts Bryant wore in the second half of his NBA career.

After the selections of captain LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, members of the two All-Star teams were identified. The LeBron team includes Luka Doncic, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Anthony Davis and LeBron in the starting lineup.

The bench includes Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, Ben Simmons, Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, Russell Westbrook and Domantas Sabonis. Lillard suffered a groin injury at the last minute and should be replaced by Devin Booker.

The Giannis team includes Joel Embiid, Trae Young, Kemba Walker, Pascal Siakam and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the main lineup. The reserves include Khris Middleton, Kyle Lowry, Rudy Gobert, Brandon Ingram, Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell and Bam Adebayo.

All LeBron players will wear the number 2 to commemorate Gianna Bryant, while the Giannis will wear shirt number 24 to commemorate Kobe. The right side of the chest of the two teams will have a black circle with nine white stars. The symbol is dedicated to the nine people who died in a helicopter crash on January 26, including Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant.
